Guest Peter
Hello, We're planning to visit Wales for the first time with our motorhome and thinking about spending 5/6 nights. The two of us like to walk on the high hills so are thinking it would be best to base ourselves in the northern part of Snowdonia. Has anyone any suggesions for sites handy for the hills but with reasonable access to the other attractions. Thanks, Peter.
Guest dave treanor
we stayed in wales over the mayday bank holiday at the Forestry Commission site ,check this web site out, it has the best motorhome waste point and only 10 miles from snowdonia http://www.forestholidays.co.uk/index.asp dave
Guest Ruth
Hi there You would not be disappointed with the forestry commission site at Beddgelert, if we could visit at Easter (relunctantly, but we still have school-age kids) and think it gorgeous over a bank holiday period, you will no doubt be even happier if you can visit away from peak times. It's got lots of different areas, if you want peace and wildlife head for the furthermost points...what I liked is that you can walk or cycle from the site with ease, even upo Snowdon, then return to a peaceful spot in the forest. We prefer this kind of site to regimented hardstanding. Large motorhomes are still catered for though.
