Kennyh
Hi I’m planning on fitting a Hykee Replock (High Security Door lock barrel) to a Motorhome I’m buying shortly. I need to take the interior door panel off and I’m guessing I will also need to remove the drivers door blinds to get access. Can anyone advise how they are normally fixed? Screws, push fittings? Are they easy to remove and replace?
EJB
There are three or four videos on YouTube re the door card. Don't know about the MH fitted blinds...hopefully someone else will ;-)
Keithl
Kennyh, It would help to know the make and year of the base vehicle and also the make of the cab blinds as different makes will be fitted in different ways. Keith.
Marcol
I fitted a Hykee lock to my Transit based Benimar if that’s any help. Feel free to ask any questions
Kennyh
Thanks all I was planning on fitting myself - but I’ve decided to use an approved installer with the fitting taking place at the dealership where my, as yet unregistered, Motorhome is sitting. The dealership has kindly agreed to support the security installer re any blind removal as required. So all in hand. The Hykee Replock is being fitted to a Ford Transit based Chausson. Thanks all! Marcol
Glad you’re sorted. It took me about 40 minutes to do. The main thing you need is a good set of plastic trim removal tools , which I had. You’ll love the drive of the Transit , especially the auto. The ride quality is far better than any of the Sevel built chassis’.
