Following a severe fire on 4 June, the Frejus tunnel between France and Italy has been closed to all traffic for an indefinite period. From 6 June, the Mont Blanc tunnel is operating a one-way system to allow for alternate traffic flows. HGVs will not be allowed to use the Mont Blanc tunnel at night after 22:00 (local).
