Get some Elsan Fresh Water Tank Cleaner use as instructed and it should do the trick by de-scaling the sensor probes . Well it worked for me as advised by the Marquis workshop manager its about £6.99 .

I confirm we find this works just fine. We do it at the start of the season and the indicator works fine. As the season goes on it begins to fail as you described so we simply ignore it as we have a fair idea of water usage and hence tank level from experience.

I began motor caravanning when there was no such thing as a water tank level sensor so I never became dependent on one!

The thing about any tank sensor is that they are all notoriously unreliable and just because it works when you start a trip it don't mean to say you can depend on it - so we don't - in fact I never even look at it.

I know roughly how much water we use per day and it is easy just to top up the tank with genuine tapolene every time the loo needs emptying.

Simples!
