eddieandsue Posted February 23, 2013 Share Posted February 23, 2013 We have an Autocruise Starburst 2006 and the electronic panel is saying Fresh water tank is 75% full when it is empty. sshortcircuit Posted February 23, 2013 Share Posted February 23, 2013 Disconnecting mains will have no effect. Sounds that the sensor needs a good clean. Can you get to the storage tank and locate the sensor. It will be on the top of the tank and will have 5 wires going to it. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Patricia Posted February 23, 2013 Share Posted February 23, 2013 I will try to get some of that as my tank indicator is not working properly. As the season goes on it begins to fail as you described so we simply ignore it as we have a fair idea of water usage and hence tank level from experience. Tracker Posted February 23, 2013 Share Posted February 23, 2013 I began motor caravanning when there was no such thing as a water tank level sensor so I never became dependent on one! The thing about any tank sensor is that they are all notoriously unreliable and just because it works when you start a trip it don't mean to say you can depend on it - so we don't - in fact I never even look at it. I know roughly how much water we use per day and it is easy just to top up the tank with genuine tapolene every time the loo needs emptying. Simples! scotsbob Posted February 23, 2013 Share Posted February 23, 2013 Had the same problem in my Elddis, but it had steel probes rather than wires, managed to get the top of tank off and lifted out the probes , gave them a clean with fine steel wool, no problem since, also was handy to give tank a good wash out.
