Guest tony s Posted April 6, 2005 Share Posted April 6, 2005 It doesn't lower the temp in gas mode even though it is obviously lit because there is heat being emitted from the outside vent. I suspect that the high temps in summer 2003 (45°c to 50 °c in Spain)probably damaged it. It's six years old. I trust the mechanic in question not to rip me off. Guest Tony S Posted April 9, 2005 Share Posted April 9, 2005 Problem now solved thanks - it was just the burner needed cleaning. Yesterday, the mechanic found that the fridge hadn't recently been removed (only a top airvent, so no access to burner)and the problem ignored by the garage where I bought the vehicle and where I'd returned twice for repairs to fridge.
