One thing not mentioned by everybody is that most things shut on the sabbeth. Don't expect to get fuel on a sunday except at the garage near stornaway airport..

I don’t see a problem except remembering which day of the week it is!

Benbecula is a Catholic isle and most things are open on a Sunday.

Tends to be more strictly observed to the north....Uists, Harris and Lewis which are Calvinist. This sign was on a childrens playground on Lewis. It was Sunday.....so the gate was locked. I took a photo of it for that reason as i thought to myself, 'all the heathens on the mainland would rip that down and take to Twitter'!!
