BML
The pipe that is used to empty fresh water from that tank is leaking where it is connected to the tank of my Auto-Sleeper Polensa. Could someone please recommend a sealant that could fix it?
michaelmorris
My initial thought would be to try work out exactly what is leaking. Is it the tank, the fitting, it the pipe? Once you have done that, I would replace the damaged item entirely. The reasons? Firstly, you are drinking the stuff that comes out if this tank and you really don't want to have imperfections where bacteria can grow. Secondly, a 'fix' might fail in the future, possibly causing £1,000s worth of damage to your MH.
Derek Uzzell
As Michael advises, the ‘fix’ will depend on why the leak is occurring. If the leak can be cured just by applying a sealant externally, Fernox LS-X is probably you best bet (after you’ve emptied the water tank to remove pressure at the leak). https://fernox.com/product/ls-x-external-leak-sealer-50ml/ It’s readily available from Screwfix, Toolstation, plumbing suppliers, etc.
