Hi, on my Motorhome dashboard display I have a sunburst? Display with 2 c above it. Is this a temperature warning? All lights ok. Also if my thatcham alarm is left on and not plugged in to electricity, would this cause battery to flatten? All answers gratefully received.

Happy New Year to all on MMM forums, you are great!

Shirley,

The 'sunburst' is actually a Snowflake and signifies the temperature of 2 °C displayed is below a preset threshold of maybe 4 or 5 °C.

It is a warning that ice may be present and to take care.

And Yes your alarm will flatten the battery if not plugged in. You may get 2 - 3 weeks before it will not start, if you are lucky!

Keith.

PS And a Happy New Year to all on the forums :-) :-) :-)

An ‘ice warning’ is mentioned in the Warning Lights section of the Fiat Ducato X250 Owner Handbook.

The information provided in a 2014 version of the Handbook is shown on the image attached below.

However, I note that - although similar advice is given in the Warning Lights section of a 2011 version of the Ducato Owner Handbook - the snowflake symbol itself is not printed..
