Insurance for Morocco

Has anyone recently been able to insure their motorhome comprehensively for a trip to Morocco? Comfort, our current insurer, have stopped issuing Green Cards for most countries outside the EU.

As a last resort there's always Frontier Assurances 1 to 90 days. Obtainable from office at point of entry ie Tangier Port or border at Ceuta. I've had to purchase it from time to time, never or will never have cause to claim on it Inshallah !!

Hi As far as i know the only two insurance company's who insure for Morocco are NFU [Third party only] and Saga fully comp

We changed from Comfort when they stopped issuing cards for Morocco.I suspect they'll lose a lot of business with those taking 90 days out of the Schengen area.

 

We are now with LV who are cheaper than Comfort and have said they will issue a Green Card for Morocco. ...................at a price!

 

As happens just got really good travel insurance with them.......................annual multi trips at 90 days per trip

Most insurance cos seem to be giving automatic cover for EU. But it pays to look at the small print to ascertain whether they are extending the comprehensive benefits cover of your policy when applied to non EU

countries such as Morocco and not just the minimum legally required. Eg will you get compensated/reimbursed for theft claims.

I don't think it will be comphrensive cover with LV BUT it enables me to drive legally in Morocco.
