I would have thought perhaps, a little competition might be a good thing ?

Alan.

It seems that Irish Ferrys are using cheap Eastern European crews and will keep any savings as profit the customer won't be gaining anything and British crews who are out of work will be the losers

Perhaps so, but where I live there are large food preparation factories that totally rely on East Europeans working a 3 shift system which the locals will not do. They produce the packaged food and cakes that are for sale in all the supermarkets that we all buy.

It`s a changing world.

Alan
