Clive lakia vip1r
Hi, Been trying install a keyless entry on my 2000 Ducato Laika 1r 2.8 jtd. Can't find any wiring diagrams for this model/year. Traced the wires back to the lock on drivers side. Tried different combinations can open but not close. Would appreciate a diagram or any info on the five wires. The wires are; 1. Black 2. Green/White 3.Blue/White 4.Blue/LightBlue 5.Blue/Grey Thanks
Derek Uzzell
Welcome to the Out&AboutLive forums. Laika motorhomes are relatively rare in the UK and your enquiry is very specific. Suggest you try contacting the UK Laika club http://www.laikaclub.com/
Keithl
Is that on the Ducato cab doors or the Laika habitation door, it would help to know. Keith.
Alanb
Clive, You state that you have traced the wires to the drivers door lock. I do not have details of your vehicle, and cannot match your colours. However Fiat eLearn for my later x244 Ducato gives the following allocations for the 5 pin connector on the lock motor. 1. Motor 2. Motor 3. Unlock command from key 4. Lock command from key 5. Earth (for commands) I see no reason as to why the connections should differ in earlier models. It is a reasonable assumption that your black wire will be the earth connection, and will confirm which pin is No. 5. I would expect pins 1 & 2 for the lock motor, to be normally connected to earth. Check this with a meter connected to 12V +ve. If confirmed this leaves pins 3 & 4, these should show 12V +ve with a multimeter connected to earth. If the above does not correspond with your installation, you should still be able to identify motor and command connections. I hope that the above helps.
