Leisure batteries

Hi there

I need to replace my 2 100ah lead acid leisure batteries. I have been looking at the Advanced agm lpx 110ah batteries (£280 for 2) I have read that the agm batteries need the battery charger to be up to 14.7 volts. I'm not really sure what this means. I have a 2006 autotrail cheyenne 696 and my question is does anybody know if the factory charger is capable of charging agm batteries properly.

A couple of links relating to AGM batteries for motorhome 'leisure' purposes.

Assuming that your 2006 Auto-Trail Cheyenne still has its original onboard battery-charger, that charger will NOT fully charge an AGM battery.

The Yuasa L36-EFB 100Ah battery would be a good choice and a pair would cost £240 from here

or a few pence less from here

This battery is also available from Halfords, but labelled as the HLB700
