sreve
Hi there I need to replace my 2 100ah lead acid leisure batteries. I have been looking at the Advanced agm lpx 110ah batteries (£280 for 2) I have read that the agm batteries need the battery charger to be up to 14.7 volts. I'm not really sure what this means. I have a 2006 autotrail cheyenne 696 and my question is does anybody know if the factory charger is capable of charging agm batteries properly. buddy
If you have a Sargent PSU2007 (EC200) electrical system fitted give Sargent a ring they are very helpful and should be able to supply the information you need. 01482 678981
Derek Uzzell
Simon A couple of links relating to AGM batteries for motorhome 'leisure' purposes. https://www.alpha-batteries.co.uk/blog/a-detailed-guide-to-agm-batteries/ http://www.aandncaravanservices.co.uk/agm-batteries.php Assuming that your 2006 Auto-Trail Cheyenne still has its original onboard battery-charger, that charger will NOT fully charge an AGM battery. The Yuasa L36-EFB 100Ah battery would be a good choice and a pair would cost £240 from here https://www.alpha-batteries.co.uk/12v-yuasa-100ah-efb-leisure-battery-l36-efb/ or a few pence less from here https://www.tayna.co.uk/leisure-batteries/yuasa/l36-efb/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMImc-0qvrK9QIVGODtCh3i4wQpEAQYBCABEgJVxvD_BwE This battery is also available from Halfords, but labelled as the HLB700 https://www.halfords.com/motoring/batteries/leisure-batteries/halfords-leisure-battery-hlb700-682063.html
