Charles Chodkowski
We are about to renew my wife' driving license - she will be 70 in March. I'm a bit confused about what forms I should get from the DVLA and how We should proceed. Can anyone who has done this recently give me a bit of advice. Thank you. StuartO
This topic has been well aired before so there is plenty of information you can search for. In essence however your wife, in order to retain her C1 entitlement, will need to have an HGV medical and if she has relevant medical problems (of a sort which present a risk in the driving context) she may need to have them tested to prove her good health at her expense to bolster her application. DVLA will send the application form but she will have to ask for the medical form. She can ask her GP to do the medical (for a fee) or use one of the (cheaper) HGV medical service companies. Once the medical form is sent to DVLA they will decide what extra medical tests (if any ) are needed. Detailed information is available on line. gdf
The 'pack' consisting of Application Form and Medical Form are available at some Post Offices or contact DVLA via website and they will send to you.

Robbo
Suggest you request the D2/D4 pack from DVLA. At least you'll have all the documentation without having to download and print anything.
