Derek Uzzell
There’s another set of installation instructions (with photos) on this Australian link https://www.rvwarehouse.com.au/about/library/docs/Midi-Heki_Installation_59-65.pdf The procedure for installing the inner frame is described as follows: 9.5 Install the Midi-Heki inner frame 9.5.1 Place the inner frame in the slot of the mounting blocks and push in position. The inner frame can be additionally tightened on the short sides (picture 9.5.1b) with suitable screws (not included) as follows. 1. Remove the ventilation grids from the short side 2. Drill a pilot hole and screw 3. Put on the ventilation grids back So,(as Robinhood has said) the inner frame will normally be a push-fit, but there is the possibility that there might be extra fixing screws behind the frame’s removable ventilation grilles. Alanb
Mick, The iinternal cover is secured by what are best described as barbed "Z" clips. Your proposal to use a palette knife seems fine. The main problem is that on levering the unit apart, the clips dig into and groove the cover. This reduces the ability of the clips to hold the cover in place. You may wish to consider prising the clips off the frame with the aid of a small screwdriver and repositioning slightly. Our cover has been threatened with a long stainless steel cover in each corner. Alan
