MagHal
Just renewed insurance on our motorhome and for the second time have been asked to provide, proof of address, DVLA licence summaries. photos of licences front and back, V5 log book copy, mileage, signed copy of their terms of business. Is this usual practice? Never have to do it when insuring any other vehicle/

Den
When insuring our minibuses and Hackney carriage vehicles we have to provide Log book and license, only to prove we have the revelent type of license. Never would I give all this info to Fred Bloggs. To much information for my liking.

weldted
Given all the scams about keeping as much of your personal info to yourself is pretty important. I would say proof of address so as to prove you are not full timing but that is easily overcome so to much weight to that requirement Driving licence if you want to hire anything you have to generate a code and show your licence so fair enough V5 log book copy to prove its registered to you but does not prove you are the legal owner Mileage where policy is based on anticipated mileage. If you obtain a quote and pay I would think that accepts their terms of business. Having never had todo that I would take my business elsewhere.
