minihekihunter
Hi there, Strong winds tore away the hatch top of my mini heki style. Any idea if I can purchase that separately anywhere? So far I can only find the whole unit. Thanks a lot

Bulletguy
Once you have a price it's also worth checking out ebay. A number of traders sell on there at varying prices but you might also drop lucky and find a used one in good nick.

Derek Uzzell
That’s a Remis-made rooflight not a HEKI one. The ‘dome’ of the Remis product differs significantly from the HEKI’s and could not be used as a replacement.
Derek Uzzell
There are, in fact, two Mini HEKI variants - the “S” that is operated by handles and is shown here https://www.dometic.com/en-gb/uk/products/climate/windows-and-doors/rooflights/dometic-mini-heki-s-_-24747 and the “Style” that is operated by a bar and shown here https://www.dometic.com/en-gb/uk/products/climate/windows-and-doors/rooflights/dometic-mini-heki-style-_-24856 Minihekihunter has the “Style” model, as does my Rapido. The following video-clip may be of interest The “Style” can be obtained without or with ‘ventilation’ with the former version having a foam-rubber seal all the way round the underside of the ‘dome’, and with the latter version (apparently) having no seal. My Rapido’s “Style”, however, has an under-dome rubber seal, but only across the front of the rooflight and extending part way towards the rear on each side. This arrangement should minimise the possibility of rain/air entering when the motorhome is being driven, but still allow some ventilation when the motorhome is stopped and the rooflight closed. When the operating bar is moved to its rooflight-fully-closed position, a plastic ‘hook’ at each rear corner of the rooflight should engage to lock the dome securely on to the base. I found that this didn’t happen reliably with my rooflight: one hook would always engage, but usually not both. It was plain that the bar needed to move a few more miliimeters upwards and this was achieved by ‘sleeving’ the centre of the operating bar with a short length of white plastic tube. Now both ‘hooks’ always engage properly.
