Non return valve in water pipe

Hi,

Altered (shortened) some of the fresh water pipework under the french bed this morning. Putting it back together again i forgot which pipe the non-return valve was in :$ Should have left things alone, but anyway. I have only altered the two flow pipes coming off a splitter at the pump outlet. One goes to the cold taps and the other to the boiler. Can anyone tell me please in which pipe should the non-return valve go. ;-)

As per the example in the diagram, which is for a Combi, but the recommendation applies to all water heaters (22 is an NRV):

 

(Do make sure you install it the correct way round ;-) )
