What tricks are there for persuading calor gas to rise up the small diameter tubes in the very cold weather. Considering these vehicles can be used at -10c it must be even worse then? bill h

The 'trick' is to choose propane LPG, as this will continue to vaporise down to -40C (whereas butane needs to be above 0C to vaporise). The diameter of the gas system tubing is irrelevant as far as cold weather conditions are concerned, though it can be significant if the motorhome's gas requirements are so large that insufficient gas can pass through the tubing to satisfy those demands.
