Tenjoe
Arriving Santander 1700 and heading South towards Valencia. Any advice on overnight stops South of Santander, about 2 hours drive. Wife not keen on service stations/ lay byes etc so camp sites preferred.

Dickybeau
We have stayed on a couple of sites near Feunmayor using the ACSI card. Handy for local bodegas and probably in your range
Tenjoe
Burgos probably a little too far and can’t find Fuenmayor on my map but V. Gasteiz looks promising and right next to the N622. Thanks all for the advice, now just need the Bay of Biscay to behave itself next week??
Dickybeau
Fuenmayor is about 10 miles west of Logrono. Google maps gives a travel time of approx 2 hours 45 minutes so probably too far.

agedone
Hi We have used a campsite at Cubillas de santa marta, next to the autovia about 60 miles from Santander. OK for overnight stay, not for holiday! https://campingcubillas.com/
Bojitoes
If it is open at the time of your trip there is an excellent campsite at Haro. The site is a 10 minute walk from a very pretty town which has a large number of bodegas being in the centre of the Rioja region. You can have a tour of the bodegas and buy good quality wine at a very good price- you can also buy some very ordinary wine at a very cheap price! it is about 2-3 hours drive from Santander on good roads. Have a good trip Bob
Neal
I will be interested to hear where you stayed on your way to Valencia. From Villamartin, we split the journey and stay just north of Madrid at Camping Monte - highly recommended, although a good 4 hours from Santander.
