coach2000 Posted November 11, 2018 Share Posted November 11, 2018 Can anyone help please! I have been trying to buy some of these pipe clips and have tried all of the local Motorhome/Caravan dealers. Ironmongers and a couple of trade catalogues but no luck. It is just to replace those that have gone rusty, they are used to clamp the waste pipe close up to underneath the van. Alanb Posted November 11, 2018 Share Posted November 11, 2018 Hi Clive, If I was needing something approximating to your picture, I would be considering galvanised spacer bar electrical conduit saddles. Discard the spacer bar, and cut off one end of the clip if necessary. It may be possible to purchase similar clips without the spacer bar. Standard conduit diameters are 20mm, 25mm, and 32mm. The waste pipe is the corrugated PVC type that is slightly bigger on the outside diameter. Ordinary saddle type will not go round completely and I was considering using the cheaper spring apart type. If you get a small sag in the pipe owing to the design the waste water will not go into the waste tank. The pipe is heavier than the cheap plastic they use nowadays. Alan has mentioned plastic P-clips and these should be a better cloice than metal fasteners where interior pipes/hoses/cabling are concerned.
