Portable Air conditioning

Has anyone had any experience of this or a similar product:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/174550721985?

The item is 440x290x245mm and weighs 13kg. costs £144

It requires venting but in our PVC and most campervans/motorhomes it should be possible to vent it through the Heiki with a bit of lashed up support (to be decided) possibly in the bathroom.

Shipping to a EU address is £30 or free (depending on which ebay advert for the same product you chose !!) from Basel. Shipping to a UK address £500 or £1000 (depending on which ebay advert for the same product you chose !!) so if I proceed I'll get it shipped to a friend in Europe. Obviously only any use on EHU.

I have reviewed earlier threads.

It depends on the van's volume & a/c units power consumption.

There was a UK company offering a 12v air cooler at last years Lincoln show, but I seem to have lost their literature.

It was similar to an Australian unit that no longer seems available in the UK.

It was a small portable evaporative unit with a water tank giving (from memory) up to 8hrs operation.

Suitable for PVC's & small/medium coachbuilts.

Would it have been the 'Transcool' ?

IIRC it was only any good in dry conditions as it relied on raising the relative humidity to effectively lower the air temperature in a very localised area so really of very limited use in the UK.

PS I can't find any current reference to a UK seller so it may no longer be offered in the UK.

Keith, Transcool rings a bell for the Aussie one.

The company at last years Lincoln Show said theirs is made in the UK.

But in appearance looked very similar.

In that case was it TotalCool?

They are in the exhibitor list for this years Peterborough show
