Dursl
Hi, recently stripped off the old graphics from my MH and ghosting apparent due to rest of panel oxidation. Don't want to use something like T Cut or electric polisher as have been reading that both could be too abrasive. Does anyone have any recommendations of how to treat and with what please? Thanks Alan
BruceM
It’s worth bearing in mind that all polishes are abrasive. Whilst I’ve not been in your position of having to blend in fade from vehicle paintwork I think that I’d have a go with Autoglym Super Resin Polish. In my experience it works exceptionally well when polishing out minor scratches. To gain the right blending in you may have to polish it a multiple number of times. Robbo
You need a low-cut polish. I use a German polish, Menzerna Super Finish Plus 3800 rated at 2 out of 10 for abrasiveness. Followed by a wax protective layer of Collinite 476S
Dursl
Thanks Robbo can this be applied by hand rather than with a polisher?
bob b
I've just replaced my decals. I used a fine compound and polishing mop to cut back the dead paint and remove the 'ghosting' of the old decals. I'll finish off with a polish using the super resin stuff. Well worth doing as it really gives the motorhome a lift.
breakaleg
I used to use Mer which was a mild cutter in the polish, even used it on the acrylic windows, just using the residue in the cloth which was wet it removed the slight scratches. Pete
Mark Wilkes
Wd40 and a soft cloth did all my decal residue and without any trouble. Its amazing what that stuff will do.
breakaleg
Yes, Many years ago, someone decided to use the side of my van for graffiti with a felt tip pen. W D 40 was the only thing I could find to remove it. Pete

Vipar
Slightly off subject. I once used a permanent marker on a white board. Confessed to my boss expecting a roasting. No problem she said just go over it with the correct pen. Worked a treat
