Replacing a rear cap on the bump of a Swift bolero motorhome

Accidentally backed into next doors van, and have broken the drivers' side cap, I have bought a replacement but wondered if anyone knew what is the best way to fix it, looks like it is currently glued and has some sort of mastic around the edge. Any advice would be good.

Many thanks

Welcome to the Out&AboutLive forums, Denise.

I assume it is the plastic moulding on the right-hand end of your Bolero’s rear bumper that has been damaged (as arrowed in the attached photo of a 2010 Bolero’s rear).

I can’t advise on how the ‘cap’ is attached, though it is quite likely that an adhesive is employed and ‘mastic’ used to seal gaps. If you can’t decide visually how it is attached (by looking from underneath the motorhome) you should be able to discover the method Swift has used once the broken section has been removed.
