wiff2110
The electronic control system on my 2004 Autotrail motorhome is a Sargent EC 200 PSU 2007 and it’s stopped charging my leisure batteries. Are there any checks I can carry out or should I send it back to Sargent for rectification? How simple would it be to disconnect the charger and any hints so that I do not break any of the plastic connectors.
arthur49
I would check all the fuses. There is an internal one I think for the charger. If that doesn't help I'd be inclined to check these people http://www.aandncaravanservices.co.uk/sargent.php I had a faulty Sargent unit on a previous van which had to be replaced. Easily done, everything simply unplugged from memory
Keithl
How have you ascertained that it has stopped charging? Have you switched the large red switch on the PSU 2007 on and does it light up? What is the voltage reading on the EC 200 when the habitation battery is selected? Both with the red switch on and off. What is the voltage reading on the EC 200 when the starter battery is selected?
