Guest john l
Does anyone know of a publication or any way of finding out the secondhand value of a motorhome. I am thinking about buying one I have seen, but I don't know if the price being asked is about right or not. 'Parkers guide' for instance, is useful when buying cars, but is there any Motorhome equivalent?
Guest Mel E
MMM contains a second-hand price guide. Problem is that thre are so many models, each with varying lists of extras, some of which are quite expensive, that's it's very difficult to get enough prices for an individual model to give a reliable value. Your best bet is to look for similar age/model/mileage motorhomes in the pages of recent MMM classifieds and dealer ads. Remember dealers will charge more than a private sale and that some private classified advertisers have extremely inflated ideas of what their 'van is worth! Guest Stuart
There is a Glass guide for motorcaravans. If you are a member of the Caravan Club you can ring up to get a valuation of the model that you are thinking of buying.
