Micky Salty
Hi, I have a second hand 2017 Peugeot Boxer Elddis Majestic. It has 8000 miles on the clock...when should I get it serviced ? The book isn't making it clear ?

Mickt
Shop arround you will find main dealers charge more than a small garage
Micky Salty
Yeah but it's still under warranty so I guess it will be a dealer. Thanks.
Don636
Our van does about 3-5000 miles per year and I get it serviced every year regardless of mileage even once out of warranty. Costs about £250 at a Fiat dealer. Yes, it sounds expensive but I’m not messing around to save a few quid on a £50k motorhome. Looks better come resale time I think so worth it in the long run. HymerVan
Assuming you mean "base vehicle service" as opposed to habitation the service the main parameter will most likely be 2 years or 32,000 miles whichever comes first. However to get more information and a vehicle specific recommendation contact Peugeot service department and ask them for a service schedule specific to your vehicle. Have your VIN to hand when you contact them. As your main vehicle warranty also ends at two years a check before then is timely anyway.
Derek Uzzell
This 2018 forum thread https://forums.outandaboutlive.co.uk/forums/Motorhomes/Motorhome-Matters/Oil-change-interval-Euro-6-Citroen-Peugeot/49066/ discussed the oil-change interval for a 2016 Citroen Jumper(Relay) with the 2.0litre Euro 6 motor and it’s to be expected that the same criteria will apply to similar-specification Peugeot Boxers. It will undoubtedly be the case that the Peugeot service-schedule for a 2017 Boxer will specify a ‘time interval’ service no later than 2 years after the vehicle’s UK-registration date. A potential advantage of choosing a Peugeot agent to perform the at-2-years service is that, if there are any software revisions or special checks that Peugeot has advised be carried out on the vehicle, the Peugeot agent should ensure those revisions/checks are done. This is unlikely to happen if an ‘independent’ garage carries out the service.

Derek Uzzell
Micky Salty Just an idle comment... There have been discussions on on-line forums about recent Peugeot Boxer-based motorhomes (including Elddis products) having a Tyre-Pressure Management System (TPMS) that needs high tyre pressures to be used to avoid the TPMS from issuing ‘alarms’. These 2018/2017 forum threads refer https://forums.outandaboutlive.co.uk/forums/Motorhomes/Motorhome-Matters/TPMS-/49489/ https://forums.outandaboutlive.co.uk/forums/Motorhomes/Motorhome-Matters/tpms-boxer/48174/ This may not affect/concern you, but if it does and a Peugeot agent is going to service your Boxer, you might want to mention it to the agent. Micky Salty
Yes thanks for that...the dealer I purchased my van from pointed that out to me and it is written on the sidewall of the tyres. Cheers.
Grumblewagon
I get mine serviced when a message comes up on the dash. I take it to a first class local garage where they do a service according to the manufacturers schedule. If it had a fault and was under warranty, I'd take it to a franchised dealer.
