Guest Janine
After reading Richard's letter in March's issue re single motorcaravanners, and having emailed him, it seems there are a few of us singletons out there which may form the basis of a new club! I had the idea of a group of us having a convoy holiday (probably UK firstly, to test the system)so that we can lend support & share the odd bottle of vino round the proverbial camp-fire! Anyone with any thoughts/ideas/comments?

Guest Derek Uzzell
There are 2 clubs in the "MMM Clubs for Motorcaravanners" list (pg 155 of March issue) specialising in 'singleton' campers - The New Companions Club and The Phoenix Camping Club. I think one spawned the other and their rules are rather different (better check before joining!!) Richard Owen's letter mentions singleton-traveller classified ads. In fact one French motorhome magazine has included for some time a "Compagnons de route" section for exactly that purpose, so Richard's idea is perfectly sound. Guest Sylvia A Burman-Hunt
There is also the Loners Club, they were staying at Longleat when we were there, also at Losehill Caravan Club site, and they seemed to work it that they met up after breakfast, two or three individuals would suggest various activities - visits to local beauty spots, walking tours, going out for a meal in local area, shopping, etc, and would loosely divide themselves into small groups and then re-assemble in the evening for a glass of vino. If you didn't want to join any group, you could just do your own thing. Seemed a friendly crowd.
