Asked for advice re France, took it, and really enjoyed it so we're going back again but going further down into sunny Spain in Sept. and Oct. to La Manga, so-- any advice, and reccomendations re sites that are worth visiting or worth 'missing'. We have the CC sites book. Be lucky, Mike.

Mike I would give 'La Manga' a miss for a start. This is way over-rated for such a scruffy site in our opinion, especially the 'shanty town' area. Anyone who has used it will know what we mean. There are two excellent sites approx 20 miles south of Alicante at Guardamar Del Segura, 'Camping International La Marina' and 'Camping Marjal'. Nearer La Manga (20miles E)is another good site 'Los Madrilos' at Isla Plana, Nr Cartagena. Any of these knock spots off La Manga. Incidentely, we've used the Dutch ANWB Euro Guides for years to sort out the good from bad sites. They are similar to the CC Euro Guides with one big advantage, the sites are very accurately graded. In the guides both the Guardamar sites are graded high - La Manga is moderate. Having said the above we all have different tastes so one mans poison ...... Also we have often found that good company can more than make up for a poor site, so you never know.

The Dutch ANWB Euro Guide you mention, where would somebody come upon one at this late stage? Again thanks- be lucky.
