theoldnick Posted March 14, 2020 Share Posted March 14, 2020 In our house we have Sky + HD system and we take the Sky box and use it in the motorhome in conjunction with an Oyster self seeking dish. We are now updating the house system to the Sky Q system and the question I have will this Q box still work with the dish in the motorhome. Matrix Meanderer Posted March 14, 2020 Share Posted March 14, 2020 I've got the same system and the answer is "no" it will not work without changing the dish LNB and maybe other items. Suggest you talk to your installer who will give you chapter and verse. It is possible to use a Q box with an Oyster dish but costly to change I think. I gave up trying to use the Sky HD box, leave the Q box at home and have converted to a MIFI and smart TV which also has a sat receiver in it. So now have the choice of Astra 2 (northern Europe), Intelsat 907 (southern Europe) and MIFI (all Europe). BBC iPlayer and Sky Go via the MIFI (with Vodaphone or EE SIM) give us all the channels and programmes we need. Hope that helps. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
