Deffheads
Okay, who is in Iberia now? How different is it to maybe 3 years ago, for access to camper stops and camp sites? Did you pre book or just wing it?

Laurence
Perhaps busier now than a few years ago, particularly this time of the year - its all those northern Europeans coming down for some winter sunshine! Coastal sites much busier than hillside and inland locations, although we have found some wonderful sites and aires inland, and south usually busier than the north. Tends to ease off in March - Dutch, French and Germans disappear early March; Scandinavians disappear mid/late March. Last time we went we found an awful lot of Finns - one family had been coming down to the same spot for seven months every year, for the past 15 years !! We book the first site, perhaps the second, but after that we just email ahead about two days in advance to check if there is likely to be space (and we tend to move on about every four days). So a very flexible itinerary. Only had 'full up' once. Aires more difficult to judge because sometimes there is no phone/email, so you have to take a risk, but again, we have rarely not been able to squeeze ourselves in B-) Hope this helps.
