Deffheads Posted December 7, 2020 Share Posted December 7, 2020 How do you all manage to cook roast potatoes or oven chips in these ovens, ours never browns anything but will burn and black things if not rotated during cooking. trialsrider Posted December 8, 2020 Share Posted December 8, 2020 I've been really impressed with the cooking capability of my spinflow oven. I had the smev 20 litre oven in my last van and it is much superior to that. We regulary cook casseroles, fish and chips, pizzas, small whole chickens and yes potatoes. You can't expect the same performance as a domestic oven but it's not bad at all. I let the oven warm up 5 mins before putting food in. The oven definitely has hot spots and we do rotate food and change shelf positions during cooking. Just persevere with it and you will learn to cook with it.
