steveandlisa
Hello folks, My 2012 Bailey 740se on a Peugeot Boxer base is coming up for its 24000 mile service. Can anyone tell me whether its "Ford Puma" 2.2 130hdi euro5 engine is cambelt or chain driven? Thanx Steve.
Robinhood
The 2012 2.2 "Puma" will be chain. Current Ford and Peugeot/Citroen engines are, I believe, belt.

weldted
As stated the 2012 Boxer has the ford engine rated at 130 is chain driver. A known problem although rare is when you pull out the dipstick the outer tube can be pulled out of the block slightly allowing oil to leak out when engine running. Happened to me luckily I spotted It when stopped for fuel. Took over three litres to top up. Happen to my son on his taxi minibus cost him his engine. The rubber bush that supports the tube looses its grip on the tube?
Derek Uzzell
The powerplants used in Fiat Ducatos, Citroen Relays and Peugeot Boxers are listed here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fiat_Ducato For 2010-2014 Boxers the 2.2litre HDi (Ford-built “Puma”) motor was available with 110PS, 130PS or 150PS output. As Robinhood advises, the 2.0litre Euro 6 motor EcoBlue motor (codenamed “Panther”) now used in Ford Transits has a timing-belt. https://media.ford.com/content/fordmedia/feu/en/news/2016/04/26/all-new-ford-ecoblue-engine-is-diesel-game-changer--cleaner--mor.html and the 2.0litre Euro 6 BlueHDi motor now used in Baxers and Citroen Relays also has a timing-belt. https://int-media.peugeot.com/en/peugeot-international/ranges/vans/new-boxer/peugeot-rolls-out-its-bluehdi-technology-boxer
