Hiya all, Just before my main post- My other half, my wee boy and myself have had our motorhome for about 6 months now and we are total newbies... but we really liked Norfork line. The crossing was great. Food was good. Service great... Anyway that said we are looking into another crossing for the summer and i'm in need of some honest advice and opinions. the 12+ hour journey to get to Dover is still a pain for us... So we are looking into the Newcastle to Amsterdam crossing with Dfds sea ways. Its an overnighter- leave Newcasle at tea time arrive in Amsterdam at Breakfast time the next day. For the 3 of us plus motorhome they are quoting £322 (thats down from their first price quoted at £500+). I was surprised they had that much profit margin!!!! Anyway, has anyone sailed that crossing? Not only have we never done an overnight crossing but we haven't ever been to Amsterdam.
