fiamma awning

Welcome to the Out&AboutLive forums, Trevor.

I’m not sure if there’s a ‘100% right’ answer to your question.

The attached photos are of two 2004 Elddis Xpedition 400 models, one without an awning and the other with an awning.

Obviously the front end of the awning should be a reasonable distance in front of the entrance door (as in the lower photo) but there are other online pictutres of this model where a longer awning has been fitted (possibly so that a ‘safari room’ can be added) with its rear end a lot closer to the white/red high level marker light. However, I think - for regulatory reasons - there should be a significant gap (as in the lower photo) between the rear end of the awning and the high level marker light so that the white part of that light will be visible when viewed from the front of the vehicle,

Assuming that you currently own an 2004 Elddis Xpedition 400 that has the same bodywork decals as shown in the photos, you should be able to calculate the length of Fiamma awning that would be most suitable.
