Guest frankie
Hi there, hoping you can help. We are looking for someplace to go for 3 weeks either over Christmas or January with our motorhome. We live in Scotland but travel overseas on the Rosyth - Zeebrugge ferry so would start from there. Looking for someplace not too quiet, campsite near the town or with public transport about. Weather not important but would like to get some sun (not rain). We've been all over europe butnever in Winter, I just hat the idea of our van sitting in the drive for all those months PLease help

Guest Neal
Frankie Subscribe to the Caravan Club's Caravan Europe guides. All the entries are provided by members who have used the sites and the date of the last report received is recorded. It also notes whether or not the site is open all year. Despite PeteC's advice above you will see that there are many, many sites open all year. Enjoy. Regards Neal
Guest Brian Ramsden
If you would consider an aire, without electricity, then I recommend Port-Vendres, France. It is on the Med, about 15 miles from Spanish border. The aire is just across the road from the sea and on the edge of the town, only 5 minutes walk to restaurants, etc. The town is a busy fishing and commercial port, so doesn't die in the winter. There are other aires round about, and a camp site "Les Cerisier" at Ceret not too far away, and some aires and sites up in the Pyrenees, if you fancy the snow and scenery.
