I reckon that the Plitvice Lakes are worth a visit, especially on a sunny day.
They are a chain of 16 azure lakes connected like a staircase.
We stayed at Camping Korana near Plitvice from where there are shuttle buses to the lakes.
I don't recall any problem with the site and the lakes are worth a day out.
Have a good trip.
p.s. But stay on main roads to get to the lakes from the coast. We tried a short cut across country and ended up on what looked like single track bridleways.
