Dunkerque Port

I've read the French sites guide included with the MMM. I'm sure we'll be using it on our next trip. Thanks to everyone who supplied the info.

This time we're landing at Dunkerque. Does anyone know whether there is secure overnight parking in the vicinity of the quay?

Our previous trips have been via Roscoff where there is excellent parking on the brow of the hill above the port.

Dunkerque will probably be busier and it would be useful to know where the nearest park is.

Regards to all.

Happy travels.

there is [was] an aire at Graveline, wouldn't recommend the campsites tho

or there is Grand & Petit Fort St Phillipe - nice spot, can park or stay at municipal site. It also has super-U with fuel.

About 10 15 minutes drive from dunkerque, to the east.

You can stay at the port - but it looks busy and noisy

B-)

If you're using Norfolkline you can park in the car park in front of their office block.

To gain access, you need to exit the dock area on the one way system and when you get to the roundabout go back to the docks. As you get to the check-in lanes take the right hand lane.

Don't use the lorry park, too noisy and muddy.

There are toilets etc. open 24 hours.

We stopped overnight at Gravelines last Sept overlooking the marina - Rue de Port, if you have sat nav.

Just parking with other mhs no services, quiet, beautiful place, about 15 mins drive from Ferry port.
