Hi, can anyone recommend any good reasonably priced camp sites about 100mls south of Tours /France with easy cycle routes.Our first trip in our Scout going mid September.Posted this earlier but may have been under wrong listings.Many thanks.

Hi, there are lots of aires all over france open to motorhomes only. Look up aires de services etape pour camping cars.
The other thing to do is when you are in france, pick up a copy of the aires book from the newsagent.translate using lap top and mc donalds.

100 miles literally south from Tours will take you to somewhere between Bellac and Limoges. I wouldn't expect cycling to be especially easy in that area because it is quite hilly. I'd suggest you go further west, around Niort, possibly to Coulon, which is on the edge of the Marais Poitevan, or Venise Verte, as the French also call it. An attractive watery area where the land is generally flat, making cycling much easier.
