Germany @ Christmas

Whereabouts in Germany would you consider? We have done the Xmas markets for about 3 years now. The sites we have used are

Koln - Camping Berger, open all year, with a marvellously heated toiletblock, which is the one they only use in winter apparently!

http://www.camping-berger-koeln.de/

Website has an English version. Site is on the Rhine, and you can watch all the boats go by, some lit up appropriately for the season. Short (15 mins) walk to busstop, bus to local metro station, which takes you straight into town.

Munster - Campingplatz Munster, http://www.campingplatz-muenster.de/index_en.htm

Website also in English. Open all year, toiletblock second to none, you do have to pay for showers, but boy, are they worth it! Last time we were there, last year, I think it was 1 Euro for 3 showertokens, so hardly expensive. About 3 minute walk to busstop straight into town.

Hameln - Campingplatz zum Fahrhaus, open all year, toiletblock rather old, but clean and warm. Has a Greek restaurant on site, walking distance from lovely town.

No English version of website.

Nurnberg - KNAUS Campingpark, open all year.

Fantastic toiletblock, very clean and warm! Quite a longish walk to public transport, but worth it, as Nurnberg is beautiful

That's about all I can remember of the sites we have used, if I can think of any more, will post them here.

Ina.
