Knaus
Hi I noticed a campsite almost opposite the Mayflower Public House on the main road, over the Bank Holiday. I don't think it was the C&CC or CC DA site. Does anyone know who ran it and if it is going to be a regular temporary site?

Elijay
Did you mean The Maypole Pub in Havant Road? Their contact details 02392 463670. Give them a ring, they may be able to help. I think you mean The Oven campsite http://haylingcampsites.weebly.com/the-oven.html
Knaus
Hi Thanks for your replies. I know of the Fishery Creek and Oven sites. The site I am talking about was a temporary site situated opposite the Mayflower Pub. Maybe it was a one off for an activity on the island. We used to stay on the Hayling College grounds with the Solent DA. But now for some reason they do not hold meets there anymore. I guess it is because of the Hayling football pitch on the playing fields. Fishery Creek is good, but have heard that the Oven and its sister sites aren't all that good.
