Knaus
Hi Has anyone used this site. There is a low bridge on the approach to it. I have phoned the site and they say my 3m 'van will go under it. They say that artics and gravel lorries use the road. Just wondered if anyone has experienced this.

malc d
According to the C&CC site book the bridge is 3.2m (10ft 3in). I've been there but as my van is 2.5m approx I didn't even notice the bridge. I thought you could avoid the bridge by approaching from the east ?
Knaus
Hi Thanks for your replies. I did ask the site manager about an alternative route, but she said it was through a housing estate and very twisty. I guess for a caravan that would be more of a problem, but we are only 6m long. I guess the Highways depts must put a lower head height than really exists to allow for bumps in the road etc. Who knows!

If you go into the Streetmap website and enter the campsite post code : NR1 2HX you will get a large scale map. The name of the road from the east is Martineau Lane.
