Guest Trealawboy
We're heading off on 10 September to follow the Danube from its source in Germany hoping to end up in Vienna. Any recommendations for sites nearby with good public transport connections into Vienna?
Mike Parke
Excellent site at KLOSTERNUEBERGH approx 5 miles from Vienna. Roughly Nor' east of city (I'm at work at the moment so cannot check my file for exact location, sorry!). Next to rail link to Franz Joseph Bahnhof in city centre or a bus ride if you prefer. We buy a 'Rail Rover' ticket for four days travel on trains 'UBahn' trams & buses. Site takes 'Camping Cheques' out of season. It is a clean and well 'spect site. We have been twice and are planning to revisit May 2008. Have a good trip. Regards, Mike & Cherry.
