Anyone been to Cannes and could recommend a good site for a motorhome?
We don't like too many people and are fairly new to this! However, I'm thinking of running in the Marathon there in November and would like to consider motoring down there and staying not too far away.
We stayed near Cannes a few years back on a site at Cannes la Bocca - about a mile or so from the main town, and also an easy walk to the local beach, and you could then walk along the promenade into Cannes itelf. There is a bus stop outside the site if you wish to take the 'easy'option.
The site was called Parc Bellvue, and is listed in the CC Continental Guide, and also is in the Camping CHeque guide. Cam[ing cheques accepted in 2009 from 1/4 to 30/6 and then 1/9 to 30/9
We found it a great site, and stayed some 7 nights rather than our intended 2! There are good transport conncetions from Cannes to all parts of the Riviera.

Thank you for that. Yes, I think I did see that site. The only problem I feel will be that it seems to be closed in November?!...although I haven't actually contacted them yet to find out....
