Hymer C 9.
Just spent a enjoyable few days at Woodland Water Leisure Park in Ancaster Linconshire, had a pitch overlooking the large lake there were 5 fishing lakes in all, and wood land walks drifts of snowdrops, plenty of birds around I watched a nut hatch for ages busy in a tree, but best of all watched a kingfisher sitting on its branch over the lake for ages. The showers and toilets were very clean and heated, they had a excellent bar and did reasonable bar snacks. There are lots of marked footpaths from the site so a few days can easily be filled. Must add that we were there out of season, and it was mentioned that in High season and bank holidays it can get very busy, but so do most good places. But for a nice quiet break out of season can really recommend it. Carol.
carolh
Well Carol Fancy staying there and not popping in to see us, we are only in Grantham! Shame on you :-D We have never stayed there, cause it's too close - but have walked round the lakes several times and Jimmy (my daughters husband) has fished there.
