We stayed there for one night in February. It has decent sized pitches and toilet block is perfectly adequate though some piches are quite far away. Reception and staff were very friendly.
Our only concern was that we thought there were groups of travellers on site. This may not be the case in the summer.
We've stayed there a few times in December when travelling to the German Xmas markets. Never seen any travellers there then. The last time we stayed there was Easter 2008, again, didn't see any travellers there then. The site is fairly close to the motorway and there is roadnoise, not surprisingly. Also, when we were there at Easter 2008, there was quite a bit of snow, which melted and some of the pitches were decidedly soggy!!
For an overnighter it's always been ok for us, at Easter we had 2 nights there, which again was ok, but I personally wouldn't want to stay there in summer with all that roadnoise, if the weather is nice and you want to sit outside, but then that might not bother other people.

There is another site in the suburbs of Brugge which is much closer to the town than Kleine Strand and looks really nice. It is in the ACSI book/DVD. Let me know if you are interested and I will dig out the details.
