Bbird
Any good camp sites in this area, not many shown on the OS map. Hope to spend possibly 3 nights in this area.
andyt
See www.scottishcamping.com, it has all the sites with details and reviews. There are over 500 sites listed in Scotland and they now have available a Highlands and Islands map through the website. There are three sites at Kilchoan, Srontian and Resipole Farm. Derek Uzzell
Resipole Farm is reviewed in June 2006 Motorcaravan Motorhome Monthly magazine's "Top 25 Sites" leaflet. We stayed there for a few nights probably 30 years ago when camping/caravanning was much cruder than now. The location is ideal but, from what I recall, midges can give you a hard time there if they like the taste of you. Pretty much inevitable in Scotland I'm afraid if you camp close to lochs during the summer Midge Months. Website is www.resipole.co.uk
Bbird
Thanks Derek, Hope to make the trip before the midge season. End of June onwards we tend to stay on the East Coast or head to the hills where its too windy for the darned little blighters
