Camp site Book

When I travel in France I use the French Camping Guide. This has all the French camps sites including Aries. Is there such a thing in the UK. I am a member of the Caravan Club and have their guide. I also have the recent MMM camping guide, but is there a comprehensive all camping sites guide?

As the French guide!

Not sure about a book as I don't own one but 'Cool Camping' do a few books that cover the UK by region that seem to have some good reviews....

...and there's a few websites that list each campsite in the UK with descriptions ....

Whilst I don't think that any book can list ALL sites in a country we like the Camping and Caravanning Club's 'Big Sites Book' (free to members)which is fairly comprehensive for the UK. Along with the Camping Club Book we find this adequate.

If you indicate the area you live in there may be a forum user locally who has an old copy which possibly could be collected.

I agree about CCC 'Big Sites Book' We find that book, CCC 'Your place in the country' (which is the guide to Club Sites and Forest Holidays sites) and the CC handbook are virtually all we need for UK sites.

We also have stayed at some CCC Temporary Holiday Sites (exclusively for CCC members) which have been excellent value, especially in High Season. These are advertised in detail in the CCC monthly magazine (free to members) along with details of weekend meets. We find being in the CCC (as well as CC) excellent value.

I agree about the value of the ACSI book for out of High Season touring.(We have only used it for 'continental' sites although there is a small number of sites listed for UK.)
