Guest Suzannah Maxted
We camped last year in Normany with two children (then 6&7) and this year in champagne with 5 children, (8, 7, 7, 5 & 1) at the castel chain of campsites. Both really nice clean sites and very child friendly, with helpful staff, organised activities if required, swimming pool, play areas and graet for riding around safely on bikes. Shop on site and graet take aways for the first night if you are late arriving. The chain seems to be very good - we have spoken yo others who have used different sites around France and recommend it also. Look up castel camping France on the internet. Normandy is also fun for the children as you are generally close to great beaches and a lot of interesting places (Mont St Michel and Bayeaux recommended - even the children didn't mind walking around). have a great camp.
