Guest Jon
I have an old Blacks Stormshield tent which may need the groundsheet re-proofing. (somebody very helpfully wiped down the inside with an old dishcloth). I was wondering if anybody could suggest which variety of proofer to use (If any, I wouldn't want to make it worse). As far as I can tell the groundsheet is made from ordinary nylon. Thanks in advance.
Guest john taylor
before reproofing you must wash it thoroughly to get rid of any detergent residues, then reproof using a silicon based reproofing agent, and i would give it at least a couple of coats .graingers offer a range of reproofing agents and non-detergent based cleaners for tents and stuff (see thier web site for details). byee
