Hubby and I were in Spalding for a quick visit this weekend, the town looks lovely! Although raised in the Fens we had never been into the town, only to the flower parade. We will be back for a longer visit!

Hi Lizzy; as a born and bred "yellow-belly" it's good to hear nice things about parts of your home county.
Lincolnshire has some beautiful scenery and places to visit, from The Humber to Stamford, The Wolds to your beautiful Fenland. ( and super sausages!)

There is an electric driven water taxi (boat to you and me!) from Spalding town centre to the Springfields shopping park where there are also very attractive gardens. It is a lovely peaceful jaunt on a warm day spotting the wildlife on the way or you can walk one way and water taxi t'other way.
